Sandstone as we all know is a kind of stone that is formed of grains of sand tightly pressed together. A sandstone pebble is one that is formed from the erosion of the irregularly rough and grainy surface of a sandstone. In this process, the grainy surface of sandstone turns into a smooth surface, which is the distinguishing feature of a pebble. The primary manufacturing areas of sandstone pebbles include Karauli, Bharatpur, and Dholpur districts in the east; Bundi, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Kota in south; and Jodhpur and Nagaur in the west of Jaipur, India. However, Lalitpur and Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, India are also known for their sandstone pebbles.
